Guinea Pig Family Tree

In my spare time I care for and breed pet guinea pigs. My family and friends were becoming confused as to how I can keep track of who's who and which babies are related to who... 

So I've come up with this! Very pleased with it and will be adding to it as time goes on...

If you study it closely you will realise this is also proof that I need a new male piggy because any new baby girls that I keep will be related to both of my current males! Support the 'Rosie Needs More Pigs Foundation' NOW! 

Animal Stories

Back in November last year I was working on a project that ate up all my free time for about 5 weeks! I'd been asked to illustrate a children's book for Igloo books called Animal Stories.
Was really hard work but managed to pull it off in time for the deadline. Was so happy with the finished illustrations and couldn't wait for them to become a finished book! I was told by Igloo that it would probably be around April this year that I'd see my book in the shops...

A few weeks ago I decided to pop into The Works in Stockport and there it was! The till assistant must have thought I was a lunatic, getting so excited over a children's book!

Absolutely delighted! Still buzzing over it now!

Roary The Lion

Over the past few months I have been working away on illustrations for another book called Roary The Lion.
It's the 2nd book written by Becky Donovan, the first one being Hatty The Giraffe. There will hopefully be 5 books in total and I should be lucky enough to work on the next 3!

2 weeks ago I added the finishing touches to the illustrations and sent them all off to the artworker. Very excited to see the finished thing!

Wrapping Paper Designs and More!

Sorry for not posting in such a long time. Things have been pretty chaotic so I've only been updating via Twitter and Facebook for a while.

I've been working on lots of new projects recently and have been keeping up with my daily monsters too! 

Today I've been working on some new designs for wrapping paper. Could also be used on greetings cards or invitations for children.

So much for posting consistently. Sorry about the quiet spell over the past few weeks. It's been rather hectic!

In my last post I talked about an exciting portfolio visit and how it may open the door to a new project. It has! And I'm very excited about it! 

I've been asked by a company called Music Exchange, to come up with some designs for the 'Monsters of Rock'. I've been given a list of spoof band names to work with.

Music Exchange

Exciting news!

I have just returned from a very promising portfolio visit with Paul Connett from Music Exchange/My Gifts based in Manchester. I will hopefully be working with the design staff over the next few months to come up with a whole new range of designs for a verity of products including greetings cards, mugs, calenders, place mats, aprons and many more!

I'm so excited right now! Can't sit still! Want to get started NOW!
